Peter Borer studied at the University of St. Gallen, at the University of Paris II and at the Business School of Vienna and received degrees in Economics and Law. Later, he worked as an academic assistant at the European Institute of the HSG. Since 1985, he is admitted to the bar and today is a partner with EBD lawyers in Zurich. Furthermore, he is a lecturer for Civil Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of St. Gallen since 1986. Peter has been the Chairman of Kraemer, Schwab & Co. AG since its foundation.


Markus Weidmann is an independent lawyer and tax expert and has been working in his own law firm Weidmann Rechtsanwälte since 2016. He advises Swiss and international companies mainly in the area of national and international tax law. Markus Weidmann is also Vice Director of the Institute of Public Finance and Financial Law at the University of St. Gallen (IFF-HSG) and a part-time judge at the Tax Appeals Court of the Canton of Zurich. Since 2011 he has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Schaerer Medical AG, a Swiss company in the field of medical technology, and since 2020 he has been a member of the Board of Directors of Kraemer, Schwab & Co. AG.


After studies in Law, Marcel Würmli earned his doctoral degree (Dr. iur.) under the supervision of Prof. Wolfgang Wiegand and Prof. Peter Nobel writing his dissertation on the liability of the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA). Professionally, he was part of the team building up and developing the Legal and Compliance department of Wegelin & Co., Privatbankiers before he joined Prof. Peter Nobel as his personal assistant. Later, he led the legal department of the Financial Markets Authority (FMA) Liechtenstein and worked as a Human Resources consultant before he founded Hermes, a HR consulting and executive search company. Marcel is a lecturer at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and president of HSG LAW Alumni. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of Kraemer, Schwab & Co. AG since 2013.


Before joining Kraemer, Schwab & Co. in 1986, Romano Babini worked with Citibank/Citicorp for 17 years, of which he spent six years in Singapore, where he was in charge of the Private Banking business for South Asia. At last, upon his return to Switzerland in 1983, he was appointed Business Manager at Citicorp (Switzerland) AG, responsible for Asia Pacific and Western Hemisphere. Romano is a Graduate of the University of Chicago’s Senior Management Program.


Before joining Kraemer, Schwab & Co. in 2019, Dominique Buro completed his apprenticeship in Banking with Credit Suisse Group and thereafter moved to Bank Leu AG in 2004 where he was working for five years being responsible for the Management Support of the Department Head. In 2009 he assumed the role of Head of Administration at Gallati Vermögensberatung AG, a private investment boutique. In this function, he was also responsible for Portfolio Management and Customer Care as well as for the Acquisition Support. Dominique holds an Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education in Business Administration acquired at the SIB Swiss Institute for Business Administration Zurich.


Before joining Kraemer, Schwab & Co. in 2022, Andrea Burri held various positions in the financial sector. Among others, she worked as a portfolio manager for the independent asset manager Dr. Pirmin Hotz Vermögensverwaltungen AG for eight years. She then joined a family office as an assistant to the CEO and Compliance Officer. During the last four years, Andrea Burri worked for a fiduciary company as a compliance officer and fiduciary clerk. Andrea holds an Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education in Business Administration and is also a Certified Fiduciary.


Before joining Kraemer, Schwab & Co. in 2024, Demet Edelmann completed her apprenticeship as a commercial administrator at the former MIBAG Property + Facility Management AG – now Bouygues Energy & Services Schweiz AG – with a professional baccalaureate. She later worked in various companies in the real estate sector (Gebrüder Oswald AG, Zug), fiduciary services (BDO AG, Zurich) and auditing (PricewaterhouseCoopers AG, Zurich). As an assistant/administrator, Demet Edelmann was mainly responsible for all administrative and organizational work in day-to-day business.


Before joining Kraemer, Schwab & Co. in 2012, David Erni has been working for Credit Suisse Group since 2006; first as an Investment Advisor for international UHNW private banking clients and later as a Derivatives Structurer. At last, he held the position of Chief of Staff of the Investment Products division at Clariden Leu. David holds a master’s as well as a doctoral degree in Finance from the University of St. Gallen (HSG). In addition, he completed the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) program.


Before joining Kraemer, Schwab & Co. in 2020, Roger Gallati had been working as a Team Leader in the Private Banking department of Bank Leu Ltd. for four years. Thereafter, he was a Head of Department Private Banking of the Credit Suisse subsidiary Clariden Leu Ltd. for three years. At last, he worked as an Independent Asset Manager for ten years. Roger acquired a degree in Law (MLaw / lic. iur.) at the University of Zurich and thereafter he completed his post-graduate studies in European and International Business Law (M.B.L.-HSG) at the University of St. Gallen. In addition, he is admitted to the bar of the Canton of Zurich.


Before joining Kraemer, Schwab & Co. in 2011, René Gretener graduated from the Swiss Commercial School and has been working for Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS) during ten years in various functions, of which three years in the bank’s dedicated career development team and for the last three years as a Portfolio Manager for Asia-based clients. He then took on an assignment as Assistant Representative/Business Developer for Bank Leu Ltd. in Hong Kong during two years. Thereafter he worked at Swiss Bank Corporation (SBC) Zurich as an Investment Advisor/Business Developer for Asian clients during four years while undergoing the bank’s Management Development Program. He then moved on to BNP Paribas Hong Kong to establish and run the Swiss Private Banking Team of the group’s Swiss subsidiary during eight years. Afterwards, he returned to UBS group as Senior Client Advisor, working for UBS Hong Kong during a transition year before moving to Zurich office for seven years, servicing Hong Kong based clients.


Before joining Kraemer, Schwab & Co. in 2008, Hans-Mathias Käppeli spent eleven years as Director of the Freiaemter Bank SLO in Muri (Switzerland). After this, he moved to Neue Aargauer Bank where he was promoted to the Executive Board after four years. two years later he became CEO of Neue Aargauer Bank, a position he has held during five years. Hans-Mathias is a Graduate of the University of St. Gallen with special emphasis in Banking and Finance (lic. oec. HSG). Furthermore, he acquired an MBA from the International Bankers School in Chicago.


Before founding Kraemer, Schwab & Co. in 1983, Xavier Kraemer worked for five years with Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS) after having completed higher studies. Thereafter he has worked for twelve years (of which four in Asia) with Citibank as Investment Advisor for international private clients as well as in various management positions. At last, he was appointed Business Manager for the Private Banking division Asia Pacific and Western Hemisphere. Xavier is a Graduate of the University of Michigan’s Senior Management Program as well as of IMD in Lausanne.
